WAN TON MEE-HUNG KEE

Wan ton mee is a Cantonese noodle dish. The art of cooking the noodle is the most crucial process in order to get a springy noodle. I had my morning breakfast at Kedai Makanan Mee Hung Kee at Taman Shamelin, Cheras. Located just opposite the main entrance of the Pudu Ulu Park. This park is a recreation place for people to jog, walk or kick a ball around the spacious open field. The shops around this area are mostly offices, banks and coffee shops. This restaurant is a branch of the famous Hung Kee in Jalan Loke Yew, Kuala Lumpur. I ordered the dry version with slices of BBQ pork, shred chicken meat, choy sam and six pieces of wan ton.

The portion was generous-BBQ pork was lean and honeyed flavored-chicken was tender-noodle was springy

Wan ton was filled with minced pork and traces of sole fish flavor.
