CHOW YHANG RESTAURANT

A single shop lot restaurant with minimal decor and limited seating(about 11 tables) plus 3 tables at the veranda of the shop. Try to get there before 6 p.m. or else you'll have to wait. The service is o.k. and the food is good except that the bitter gourd we ordered today was over cooked. Their customers are mostly regulars like us, who come with family members. Their signature's dish are the Assam fish head, crispy duck and chicken with pickled ginger. The food is quite consistent. It located at SS2, Petaling Jaya, behind the Kayu Nasi Kandar's shop. Parking is a breeze after 6 p.m.

Assam chopped fish head-mint leaves, okra, tomatoes-curry, thick and full of flavor-just love the smell of mint leave.

Fried bitter gourd with lean pork strips-overcooked with a generous amount meat.

Clay pot chicken with pickled cube ginger- crispy and tender

Clay pot spicy eggplant with fish paste-traces of salted fish-gravy was gooey and tasty.
